The second Sunart Centre Junior Youth Club X Factor competition was held on the 10th May and seven polished and professional acts took part in the contest. The event was hosted by Lucy MacMillan, and the panel of judges this year were The "Ardnamurchan High School Drama Queen" Katie Sharp, "Lochaline's Leading Lady" Kay Malcolm, Shaun "Mr Nasty" Turner and last but not least Strontian's pensioners answer to Cheryl Cole - Denise Anderson.
The Audience joined in with great enthusiasm to create a fun and light hearted evening which helped to put the young contestants at ease.
Trophies were presented to the best solo act, where there was a tie between the two Lochaline girls Rachel Boulton and Charlotte Adam Prosser. Judges were unable to separate these two sparkling singing performances. Finn McCoughlin and Mitchell McPherson won the trophies for the best group, performing a very energetic and exciting dance routine to One Directions "What makes you beautiful"
The evening ended with all three winners giving a repeat performance of their acts and a Grand Finale when all the children in the venue joined the contestants on the stage to join in the dancing.
